For: Coaches with a Macrocellar coach subscription · Last updated 5 November 2026 · Version 2026-11-05.2
Draft. These documents haven’t been reviewed by a lawyer yet, and details in [square brackets] are still to be filled in.
About these terms
These terms apply when you create a coach account and subscribe to Macrocellar’s coaching tools. They add to the Terms of Use, the Coach data agreement, the Refunds & cancellation policy and the Community guidelines. We record which version you agreed to at checkout. Who can be a coach
- You must be 18 or over, sign up on the coaching website, and use two-factor authentication every time you sign in.
- You must give accurate details and keep your account secure. Don’t share your login.
- If you coach as a business, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.
Your role and responsibilities
- You are an independent professional, not Macrocellar’s employee or agent. Your advice, plans and targets are yours, and you are responsible for them.
- Only give advice you are qualified and insured to give. Don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions, and refer clients to a doctor or registered dietitian when their needs go beyond your scope (for example pregnancy, medical conditions, eating disorders or under-18s seeking weight loss).
- Never set targets below safe levels or encourage unsafe practices.
- Make only truthful, evidence-based claims about your services and results (CAP Code, DMCC Act 2024). No fake reviews or testimonials.
- Follow the Community guidelines in everything you write to clients.
- Any separate agreement or payment between you and your clients is between you and them, and you are responsible for it (including your own terms, insurance and tax).
Client data
Clients choose to share their data with you through the join agreement, and can stop at any time. You may only use it to coach that client, inside Macrocellar, and you must protect it. The Coach data agreement sets out your data protection duties and forms part of these terms.
Subscription and prices
- Prices are shown on the plan page including VAT before you pay. Each plan has a client limit.
- Your subscription starts when you pay (or your trial starts) and renews automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- Payments are taken by Stripe from the card you give. We send receipts and reminders by email.
- We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice of a price change by email. Until then you keep paying your current price; the new price applies from your first renewal after the notice period. If you don’t want to pay it, cancel before then and you won’t be charged the new price.
Free trials and discount codes
- New coaches can have one free trial. Each person, email address and card can only have one. If your account or email has already had one, the plan page doesn’t offer a trial. If the card has, we cancel that checkout before anything is charged, and you can choose to subscribe without a trial.
- We email you 7 days before your trial ends. Cancel before it ends and you’re never charged.
- Discount codes show exactly what they give (for example 20% off the first payment) and when the full price starts, before you pay. They can’t be exchanged for cash.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you. Your coaching tools keep working for a 7-day grace period. After that they pause until the payment succeeds; your clients’ data stays safe but you can’t see it while paused.
Cancelling
Cancel online at any time in Settings → Billing: two steps, no phone call. You have a 14-day right to cancel after each payment, with a refund for the days you haven’t used. Full details: Refunds & cancellation.
When your access ends
Your clients stay linked to you for 30 days after your access ends, so you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off. After that their coaching ends and the app tells them. Clients always keep their own data.
Suspension and termination
We may pause or close a coach account that breaks these terms, puts clients at risk, misuses client data or doesn’t pay. Unless it’s urgent or unlawful to do so, we’ll tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account without good reason, we’ll refund the unused part of your subscription.
Liability
If you coach as a business: our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the subscription fees you paid in that period, and we aren’t liable for lost profits, business or goodwill. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
You are responsible for claims by your clients arising from your coaching advice, and you agree to cover our reasonable losses if a client brings a claim against us because of your advice or your breach of the Coach data agreement.
Changes and law
We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice of changes to these terms by email (sooner only if the law or a security issue requires). If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction (consumers keep the rights described in the Terms of Use).
